Postpartum Care

After giving birth to her son, Rio, and traversing her own postpartum period, Dr. Cárdenas was surprised by the lack of support and care offered to new mothers in the conventional medical model. Postpartum women undergo a huge transition of mind, body, and spirit while their bodies strive to regain balance after pregnancy and birth.
Feeling inspired to assist other moms based off her own experiences and medical knowledge, Dr. Cárdenas offers support in treating common postpartum ailments — including mood imbalances, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and nutritional deficiencies — helping women rebound, heal, and thrive as they enjoy motherhood.

Additional Services

Dr. Cárdenas offers IV nutritional therapy, intramuscular nutrient injections, venipuncture (blood draws), and a high quality, physician-grade medicinary.

All new patients begin their process with a new patient visit, which are 60 minutes long and include a detailed account of current concerns/complications, lifestyle practices, diet, medical history, family history, and review of previous medical records. The patient will leave this first visit with a treatment plan that will require a patient follow up.

Follow up visits are 30 minutes long and include an update on patient conditions, discussion of any new issues or concerns, and a comprehensive review of any laboratory work-up that has been done. Again, the patient will leave this visit with a treatment plan to follow that includes specific doctor’s recommendations.

Dr. Cárdenas has and continues to bring me back to a good state of health and well-being. After I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroid disease, I was really tired of not feeling well while hearing other doctors tell me my labs were perfect and that I should be fine. By working with Dr. Cárdenas and taking a more natural approach to medication and dietary changes, I am finally beginning to feel more like myself.  I know I am in good hands with a doctor who will listen to what I say about how I am feeling.

I feel so fortunate to have found such a great doctor.”
